Ghana was colonized by the British from 1820 to 1957.

In 1957, Ghana gained independence by six strong and ambitious namely;

Ghana is the first African country to gain independence from their colonia masters

Kwame Nkrumah became the prime minister of Ghana and later the first president of the Ghana.

Ghana became Republic on 1st June 1960 under the Nkruma admistration.
